Informatie
Korzo producties is de naam van één van Nederlands grootste dansproducenten. Een naam die steeds vaker opduikt in de programma’s van de Nederlandse theaters en schouwburgen. Altijd in combinatie met de namen van jonge of toonaangevende choreografen of verbonden aan initiatieven die de Nederlandse dans van een nieuwe impuls voorzien.
De thuisbasis ligt in Korzo, een vitaal kunstencentrum in hartje Den Haag. Met een eigen theater en een productiehuis biedt Korzo een inspirerende omgeving waar betekenisvolle podiumkunst gemaakt en getoond wordt.
Eén van de visitekaartjes van Korzo producties is het tweejaarlijkse CaDance festival voor moderne dans. Ook maakt het productiehuis naam met evenementen als Voorjaarsontwaken en Here we live and now. Hier is het nieuwe choreografietalent te zien dat Nederland rijk is. Hier zetten beginnende makers hun eerste stappen. Hier brengen o.a. choreografen als Ann van den Broek, David Middendorp, Joeri Dubbe, Alida Dors, Erik Kaiel, Sjoerd Vreugdenhil en vele anderen hun nieuwe producties in première.
Vervolgens gaan de Korzo producties op reis, langs de Nederlandse theaters, maar ook over de grenzen. Meestal als avondvullende choreografieën, soms ook binnen combinatieprogramma’s, zoals met DansClick. De kans is dus groot dat je Korzo producties in het nieuwe seizoen ergens in het land tegen zal komen, altijd vergezeld van choreografen die niet alleen nu met dit ene stuk, maar ook in de toekomst een aanwinst voor de Nederlandse dans zullen zijn.
